Liz recently graduated from the Department of Labor’s Apprenticeship Program, coordinated by WCAA. We greatly appreciate Liz’s efforts toward raising the level of quality in early child care, not only because of her completion of the program, but as she graduated with honors.
Providers interested in the apprenticeship program, classes start in August at Casper, Laramie County, Northwest and Sheridan Community Colleges. System and Competency Standards from the
Council for Professional Recognition)
- Pages 77-81 in the Preschool Caregivers in Center-based Programs.
- Pages 90-94 in the Infant/Toddler Caregiver in Center-based Programs.
- Pages 93 - 95 in the Family Child Care Providers.
- Mentors should meet with apprentices 10 hours a month. If you are unable to meet this requirement contact the apprenticeship coordinator for the possibility of negotiations.
