Training Approval
What is Training Approval?
Once a trainer has been approved, the training he or she will offer must also be approved for Training Hours.
The STARS Coordinator reviews the application which describes what the training will include and makes the determination whether or not trainings will be approved for Training Hours.
Only actual contact hours will be approved for Training Hours. Lunches and breaks will be not calculated in the total Training Hour time unless these times are working sessions. Also, the trainers must be approved through the Trainer Registry or the training will be denied. Trainings completed before the application is reviewed and approved will not qualify. After the training has been approved and conducted, trainers should distribute Evaluation Forms to the participants for completion.
What is the Process?
To have a training approved, the following two steps must be completed:
- Fill out a Training Approval Application by downloading a paper version and make sure the application is complete.
- Send the application to Wyoming STARS at least 14 working days in advance of the training for review of the request.
The paper version can be viewed and printed using the free Acrobat Reader available from Adobe.
